• Pearl Valley

Pearl Valley Golf & Country Club, situated within the prestigious Val de Vie Estate in the Paarl–Franschhoek Valley, lies just 35 minutes from Cape Town. The course is surrounded by the imposing Simonsberg and Drakenstein mountain ranges, creating a breathtaking setting for one of South Africa’s most acclaimed golf destinations. Opened in 2003, this 18-hole, par-72 championship course was Jack Nicklaus’s second signature design in the country.

• Outeniqua

Outeniqua Golf Course, part of the prestigious Fancourt estate in George along South Africa’s scenic Garden Route, is a beautifully designed 18-hole parkland course that captures the essence of relaxed yet refined resort golf. Framed by the imposing Outeniqua Mountains, the course was designed by Gary Player and opened in the early 1990s as one of three signature layouts at Fancourt. While the Montagu and The Links courses at Fancourt are known for their championship-level difficulty, Outeniqua is considered the more forgiving and accessible of the trio ideal for mid to high handicap golfers or those seeking a more relaxed round without compromising on quality.

Since opening in the early 1990s, it has earned a reputation as one of the country’s premier parkland courses, consistently praised for its immaculate conditioning, thoughtful design, and the dramatic mountain backdrop provided by the Outeniqua range. Though always strong in character, Montagu has evolved over the years through key upgrades including a notable redesign by David McLay Kidd in 2005 and further refinements in 2018 by Player himself. These enhancements improved the course’s playability and strategic depth, while preserving its classic feel.

• The Links (Fancourt)

The Links at Fancourt, located in George on South Africa’s Garden Route, is a premier golf destination renowned for its challenging design and stunning scenery. Designed by Gary Player, the course opened in 2000 and has since hosted prestigious tournaments, including the 2003 Presidents Cup, the 2005 South African Airways Open Championship, and the 2012 Volvo Golf Champions.
