The course is known for its wide, forgiving fairways, absence of blind shots, and large, fast greens maintained to tournament standards. Water plays a strategic role on five of the holes, enhancing both difficulty and aesthetics. A standout moment on the course is at the 9th hole, where players pass the ruins of a Roman villa and approach an S?shaped lake formed in the initial of Ballesteros himself—a signature mark of the course and a testament to its thoughtful design.

El Plantio 

El Plantío Golf Resort is a scenic and well-established golf destination located just 3 kilometers from Alicante city center and about a 9-minute drive from Alicante-Elche Airport. This 27-hole facility comprises a championship-style 18-hole par-72 course and a 9-hole par-3 course, catering to a wide range of players from casual enthusiasts to seasoned golfers. Designed by Manuel Ferry Ruiz and opened in 1993, the main course stretches approximately 6,200 meters from the back tees and carries a slope rating of about 133 with a course rating near 73, offering a fair yet stimulating test for various skill levels.

Alenda Golf

Alenda Golf, officially known as Club de Golf Alenda, is a championship 18-hole, par?72 golf course located near Monforte del Cid, just a short drive from Alicante. Designed by Roland Favrat and opened in 1999, the course spans 49 hectares at the foot of the Sierra de las Águilas, offering a scenic and varied playing experience in a tranquil Mediterranean setting.The course layout balances playability and challenge. The front nine features wide fairways lined with palms, carob pines, and olive trees, making it accessible for golfers of all levels. The back nine, however, requires greater precision, with narrower fairways, rolling greens, and strategic water hazards.

Font del Llop

Font del Llop Golf Resort is a scenic 18-hole championship course located near Monforte del Cid, just a 10-minute drive from Alicante Airport. Opened in 2010 and designed by Blake Stirling and Marco Martin, the par-72 course offers a blend of American design elements with Scottish-style routing, making it both visually appealing and strategically engaging. Set within a tranquil valley, the course is surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation and features several lakes connected by a natural river that flows throughout the property. Wide fairways, undulating terrain, and large, fast greens are hallmarks of the design, which caters to players of all skill levels.
